2500+ Museums Can Now Be Toured With Google

Just because I had to postpone my trip to London to see Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser at the V&A due to travel bans does not mean I can't still visit museums, and historic locations around the world from the safety of my home.

Google Arts & Culture partnered with 2500+ museums and galleries around the world to bring everyone virtual tours and online exhibits of the most famous museums around the world. Take your pick and enjoy this virtual journey through art and time.

British Museum, London

This iconic museum allows virtual visitors to tour the Great Court and discover the ancient Rosetta Stone and Egyptian mummies. You can also find hundreds of artifacts on the museum’s virtual tour.

Do not disregard this small country rich in history. The Hypogeum is a complex, made up of interconnecting rock-cut chambers set on three distinct levels. Earliest remains on the site date back to about 4000BC, and the complex used for many centuries, up to c. 2500 BC.

Google Arts & Culture’s collection couldn't include all galleries, but some are taking it upon themselves to offer online visits, so do your research if one happens to not be on the list. All this in combination with thousands of Street Views and famous historical heritage sites, your isolation couldn't feel further away from lonely and just maybe an updated travel bucket list can be organised.
